Unresolved Billing Issues

I contacted customer service today to simply seek help in how to lower my monthly bill. It has steadly increased from a starting point around $90 a month to this month $188. This in just 12 months. Some of it is my fault for movie rentals and add on packages. However the questions I had concerned leased equipment. Namely receivers and DVR service, HD Access charges and others. I tried to have an intelligent conversation concerning these billing areas. But to no avail. I tried to debate why Direct TV charges a $6 monthly fee for every reciever.in a year you will have paid $72 per reciever, (in my case with 6, I will pay $432 for these LEASED receivers). My question was at what point is the reciever paid for. When does the lease term end. I was told it never ends and that the fee is a mirror fee charged for the reciever being active. Her solution was to have the receiver turned off to save money. HA HA that is a great solution for a TV company to turn off recievers as the solution to saving on fees. I asked to speak to a supervisor to continue this debate with someone up the line. I was told that they were all on break and she didn't know when someone would be avalible to speak to me. I left my telephone number and asked for a return call. No one has called yet! I then told her that unless I could figure out a way to lower this bill, maybe through creative billing or credits that sometimes more consumer friendly companies will do in order to keep existing clients. Her response was that if I want to cancel my service she would transfer me to the proper department to have my service stopped. I then asked her what time zone she was in so I would have an idea when a superviser would call. She said she was in the Philippines, now that makes sense. So in closing I am no closer to speaking to anyone who can do more than following a script pre drawn for them by poeple who could care less about customer service. I would love to have an email address of someone in the higharchy of DirectTV in which pester with these questions. So if anyone has such please let me know. Thanks
