I strongly advise travelers to think twice before buying your airline tickets through expedia!!! The hassle of having to fix messed up reservations that is not your fault but expedia's is not worth the money you save from buying from expedia!!! I purchased my airline tickets for a trip to Barcelona, Spain on American Airlines for myself and my husband last April and saved $50 by buying from Expedia. Now, as I tried to choose our seats on our flights, I found out that our booking had some issues and I could not get my seats. I already paid for these tickets and there should be no issue about it. Anyway, for the last 2 weeks I have been trying to contact Expedia, American Airlines, and British Airways (as my return flight was code share with British Airways). I have been passed around among these 3 companies and did not get anywhere. I could not reserve my seats because there is a problem with my booking ~ was told that I had double booking on the flight from Barcelona to London then to Las Vegas. I have asked the Supervisor at Expedia to assist me in fixing the problem with my booking but to no avail. Imagine how frustrated I am now that I have wasted so much time in trying to resolve this issue which both airlines tell me is an issue that only Expedia can fix. I really do not know what to do now. I do not want others to experience what i am going thru right now with expedia. I am warning travelers to do yourself a big favor and buy your airline tickets directly from the airline you want to fly with ~ not with expedia!!! The few dollars you save is not worth all the hassle!
