Airline made a mistake and ended up charging $275 for a flight segment that had already been paid for through Expedia (long story - there were actually 3 airlines involved!) Expedia customer rep spent about 1.5 hr on the phone with Alaska, American and US Airways before obtaining a refund for me. I could never have navigated through a complex ticketing issue and was getting the runaround before calling Expedia for help.
