Expedia ticket prices

I used expedia until now to book airline tickets since i could compare the best prices. But the thing got nasty when i called them to change my booking. Waited for 15 minutes to get on the line and when i actually talked to a CS rep, they didn't help and told me to phone the airline directly... I book with expedia because of how easy it is to do it and compare prices but it doesnt seem like a good move anymore
