GE Money Bank sent in a fraudulent bankruptcy report to the credit bureaus in my name. I did not go bankruptcy at all. When I contacted Lowe's credit, they simply apologized and said I would be getting an apology letter and that they would update my credit report within 10 days to reflect that I had a paid balance and that I paid my bill as agreed. Over a month later, I received an apology letter stating that a request had been sent to the credit reporting agencies to reflect paid account. During the process of a home purchase, my credit file was pulled and they still show a bankruptcy in my name with Lowe's/GE Money Bank. They did not fix the error they made. They don't realize the harm they have done. This is a BIG mistake on their part and I can't get any help from them.
