ON 12/10 I called t mobile about possibly getting texting and a local phone # I live in virginia now and my service was through south carolina. Asked how much more in would be a month and the young man said "I can get it for you free if you will sign a two year contract, he would get me a 540 area code phone # and texting free. I told him if that is correct I would sign a two year contract. I was on a month to month at the time. He said I will call you back in two to three hours with your 540 area code number for virginia. I never received a call back with a new virginia phone #. After a week of not receiving any new phone # or a phone call I called again. This time a woman told me the exact same thing. I never received a new phone # for virginia or the phone call she promised. I went to a local provider and got a new virginia phone # and new service but meantime T mobile sends me a bill with information on a new contract for two years. I have called them three times telling them I no longer have service with t mobile and I will not pay for a contract that was not what I had asked them for. They are still sending me bills. I even wrote all my notes on my last statement explaining that they did not come through with my request, because I live in Virginia and I want a local area code and that I am not going to pay anymore money to T mobile. The sad thing is I was a customer of their's for 11 years but when I moved to Virginia and required other needs they want to stab me in the back. I am a 66 year old woman and paid every bill on time, perfect credit. I am also writing to the BBB concerning them. The only way to communicate with them is by phone and they start saying the same thing over and over but can't tell me why I didn't get that phone call from them giving me a new Virinina area code and phone #
