I have been a good paying customer of Dish Network since 2002 and just recently a year ago I thought its time to upgrade so I called them and told them I wanted to upgrade to the new dish 500 and more programming and add a receiver and that one would be in my house and one in alittle building beside my house where i groom my poodles that I would not have a phone they said no problem i upgraded all my equipment at a expense and got my receivers going.
We live on several acres and there is lots of old building out here my mothers old house that is not liveable and then we have a couple of old chicken houses and a garage and then a rent trailer out front and then my little building that i groom dogs in where the second receiver is. Well everything has been fine for quite a while we pay our bill right on time usually early and then I had been sick with flu the last few days and dish network calls and asks that they need some information my husband told them that I would call them back.
I called back and i gave them the information off the one in the house and due to me being sick my son and husband was going to get the information off the one in the grooming shed for them they said that it was againest FCC rules to have them in 2 seperate buildings and they shut the one off in my shop.
So I called and found out it wasnt againest FCC rules for the way I had it set up so I called them back and this time they tell me its because I refused to go out and get the information off the one in the grooming shed so I told them why didnt we just take a step back sick or not I would go get the information and they said that once a receiver is shut off they wont turn it back on unless i open a seperate account and pay double the bill which is a ripoff.
So I asked to talk to the supervisor and he told me that the only way he would turn it back on was for me to give them a apprasial of my property to show how many buildings and I sit and told them how many was on here but your word isnt good enough and then the supervisor told me that I was lying and that the other receiver was in another resident and he knew it and that the only way I can ever have 2 receivers with them is two accounts and double pay but yet i asked him for proof of his accusations and he would give none.
Basically he called me a liar an would not take my word or let me prove anything. The renters who did live in the trailer in front had dish but when they moved took receiver and left dish and they dont have a receiver in front trailer but no he wouldnt listen and they just shut me off... Someone did go to renters trailer and left the gate open and could have let their dogs out just because there is a dish outside on a house dont mean there is satellite there cause i can go around and take tons of pics with houses with dishes and no service.
Well let me tell you guys Direct TV said they would be happy to come out and install a dish and both receivers FREE and programming 1/2 the price of what dish network is and all the channels the same. So people please open your eyes they told me 3 different stories to why i got shut off one reason FCC, 2 cause I refused to go get information for them, 3 cause it was not in shop but in rent trailer.
They shouldnt be allowed to get away with treating people this way I have been a good paying customer for 6 years and to call me basically a liar without any proof and i asked but they had none to offer but assumptions. Go with Direct TV or Netflix or anything but stay away from these guys they will lie to you to get you to upgrade and then they stick it to you. I will be switching to Direct TV giving them my good business and they are alot cheaper. Its not right for them to call customers liars and they said another reason is cause i installed or my husband did our own equipment i tried to explain i raise dogs i dont allow anyone in my house but my AKC inspector but he still basically called me a liar.
