I changed over from Dish Network to Direct TV in April which was my first biggest mistake. Sorry Dish Network Ill be back when my contract with Direct Suck TV expires. From the day of installation I was lied to. I was suppose to receive a HD DVR receiver and one plain receiver and after all was installed I learned they only installed 2 plain receivers. After many hours on the phone and me requesting they hook back up my Dish Network because I don't like being lied to they refused. They did however tell me they would give me HBO for 3 months free which created another lie I was later told they couldn't do that. I did have everyones name I talked to but was later informed that would do me no good because you actually talk to a call center that handles thousands of call from other companies.
Again after many hours of my time on the phone with this incompetent company I had no choice but to stay with them. I was told the $200.00 dollars I had already paid them was non-refundable and I was under contract for 2 years and if I wanted the HD-DVR receiver I would have to pay more money which I ended up doing.
Now im checking my bill and I find out when they upgraded my receiver the old one was never deactivated and im still being charged for the old receiver which I no longer even have in my house and through emails with this company I have told them that many times but they are still sending me a kit to return the one receiver I do not have and if I dont return the receiver I will be charged for it. I have saved all of my emails and would love for someone to contact me for further action.
I you are thinking of getting Direct TV then you may want to seriously re-think this and go with Dish Network. I left them not for there service but I thought Direct-TV was offering a better package deal on channels but as soon as my contract is up I will be running back to Dish Network.
