On Nov 24, I responded to an ad in the
AZ Republic for patio furniture. The furniture was being sold out of the house of the salesman, Don MecurialI agreed to purchase 6 chairs, 1 table, 2 chaise lounges, 1 end table. I gave a $500.00 deposit and was told the furniture would be delivered by Dec 18.
On December 26, I followed up to see when I might expect my furniture. I was told because of the rain, I had to wait for it to be painted. Several phone calls later I still had not received the furniture and was still getting excuses.
On January 93, I received the "iron" portion, but not the cushions or table tops. The iron was in the wrong color, but I accepted delivery on the condition that it be repainted and the remainder of the order be delivered with the next week.
On February 3, Tom Vance arrived to paint the furniture, but only painted a portion and did not receive the cushions.
On February 12, I finally reached Mr. Mercural by phone he told me my order would be completed within two days. When I asked him why it wasn't delivered the previous Friday like Mr. Vance had told me, he said they gave my pieces to someone else. When I told him I would be sending a final demand letter via certified mail to him.
He said, "Send the f'n letter see if I care, see if you get your furniture."
I saw in yesterdays Az Republic the same ad for furniture from the same phone number.
It has been 3 months and still do not have my order, and it appears he is attempting to scam other people.
