We installed a carpet from Empire 2yrs ago and the backing separated from the carpet strands in that time. Empire replaced it with a
nylon strand carpet (I insisted on this) because it’s a durable fiber carpet.
Unfortunately Empire only had one type to choose from. Guess what happens? In two weeks the carpet starts to show massive wear. So now they are installing carpet #3 (Smart Strand by Mohawk with 50% polyester) and of course this it not the best quality because it not 100% smart strand.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the third time is the charm. The bottom line Empire installs poor quality carpets made from polyester. (the worst fiber strand made). Empire carries this type of carpet in stock and if you want better quality it has to be special ordered for allot more money. It ticks me off that Empire isn’t compensating us by ordering a better quality carpet at their expanse.
Bottom line, don’t do business with Empire you will regret it.
