Last Four Jars of Dill Spears Tough and Bitter

The last four jars of Claussen dill spears that I have purchased have been awful. First, the skins were too tough to chew through, so I just ate the inside flesh. But now this latest jar is so bitter that it is inedible. I thought I would try the same trick of eating just the inside, thinking the bitterness was from the peel. Not so. It was worse with just the inside.
