I purchased a carpet from Empire Today which included dining room, living room, hallway, 10 stairs at a cost of a little under $3,000. The carpet in some areas have become very worn. The carpet was purchased July of last year. I had noticed the wear and tear but when a couple of friends came over and commented on how badly worn the carpet was I e-mailed Empire. They sent 2 men who spoke Spanish the whole time they were here. Then someone by the name of Mike came here and told us that Empire has had complaints with this particular carpet and he could see how worn the carpet has become. Then an independent inspector came here and said it was normal wear and tear. If I paid an independent inspector I'm sure he would say the wear and tear was abnormal for the short time we have had it andk because, it is only my husbank and I live in this house with a little West Highland White Terrier. I am very disappointed in Empire. I did not expect to get treated in the manner I was treated at Empire. I had intentions of purchasing more carpeting but not anymore. It is very obvious that this carpet has become very worn.
