I canceled my account with DIRECTV in May because Time Warner was offering a great monthly deal and set a monthly quote for my services as well as offering me a $100.00 visa gift card. The day the crew came to hook up the cable I payed for the hook up fee and never received a receipt from them. I called after receiving a bill for installation letting them know I had payed the day of services and was told to disregard the bill. Next, I had been waiting for the $100.00 visa card to come in the mail and when I called today to ask why I had not received it by mail yet, I was told that that offer no longer was available. I then asked to speak to a manager and was told that I was supposed to send in a paid in full receipt and cancelation confirmation from my prior services with Directv. I told time warner that it was never told or explained to me and neither were any directions for receiving this $100.00 visa card ever sent to me telling me to do anything. The result from the manager from time warner was that that promotion was over and they would do nothing to keep their promise with their promotion.
