Jamster Jamms Up Yet Another Victim

Jamster is really revving up ripping people off. I had my phone turned on and in my purse. I heard an SMS come in only to see it was from Jamster "confirming" that I was now signed up for their service. I know exactly who they are and have never, ever been fooled into signing up for their service. Alarmed (and even though I didn't want to respond to them) texted back "stop" only to get a respond that I had now been charged and wouldn't reap the benefits of additional service. WTF??? I called Tmobile immediately, but they couldn't see a charge. They told me they would blocked them. I also blocked them with an anti-spam sms app and the message disappeared (it's stored in the anti-spam app's lists).

Today, I checked my tmobile account under "downloads" and see that something downloaded (what I don't know because I never actually received a ringtone unrequested or not) and that there was a $9.99 charge. I called tmobile again and they claim they couldn't reverse it without me calling Jamster (the snakes) and having it reversed. I called them and a woman did answer. I merely said, "I want you to reverse an unauthorized charge." She asked no questions. Asked for my phone number (which of course I didn't really want to give them). Then she claimed she would send my request to the "finance department" (yeah, right) to see if they could possibly reverse it. She also wanted my name and address (so I can get more scams in my mailbox and have my ID stolen). I asked her why she needed this when since they were capable of debiting my phone number without this information, they were certainly capable of sending a credit to Tmobile. She started to get a little testy. So I said, "Okay here's a name". I gave her the fake name I use and my POB, to see if this check comes in the mail. I asked for some sort of reference number and she claimed my phone number was it. I'll be calling them in a couple of days and Tmobile to see if that credit goes through.

I see there are some people on here (and some from Tmobile) calling people idiots because they think that you have to somehow initiate this by responding to a text or to a tv ad (have never seen an ad). I have absolutely never have (and have downloaded no recent games and don't click on any ads in games and wasn't even using the darn phone) because I know full well what they are up to. I us Mxyser for completely free no strings attached ringtones. I have never, ever even visited Jamster through my phone so they are not in my history. Wasn't even using my phone when that phish sms came through. When I looked my phone must have butt-dialed into a link because the browser was open and on their website! (I need a phone that doesn't nothing when I'm not using it!)

I am so sick of scammers, phishers, and other lowlifes. I know they have been sued in the past and they are still at it. All I know is someone is giving me back my $9.99 and if Tmobile doesn't reverse this debit and send it right back where it belongs, they are going to lose 10 plus years of customer.

Here's the phishing sms I received. Came from 7555 "Congrats UR subscribed to get HOT tunes apps on m. Jamster.com w/20 credits already paid for. Reply OK to keep and stay subscribd. Help: 8668565267 No add'l msgs or bills sent"

After texting "stop", I got this: " Warning Jamster Plan canceled You will lose 20 credits already paid for. Reply OK to keep and stay subscribed. Help 8668565367 No addd'l msgs or bills sent"

Will amend this complaint as I see what tmobile and this crap company do about it.
