I ordered an external DVD drive for my MacBook and received one with no brand name marked anywhere - either on the product or the box. No big deal. Problem is, the thing just didn't work. After numerous attempts to get the product to play - using various media - I emailed the company to tell them I'd like to return the product.
After a couple of months, I finally received word from one of their reps (along with an apology for the delay, apparently due to spam filters) to print a return label, ship back the item, and I would receive a refund. That was October. Several months after sending the product back, I finally received an email which told me to set up a Pay Pal account and send them a bill, which I did.
It's June and I have still not received any refund (after having sent numerous requests from Pay Pal, several voice messages to the company's main telephone number, and regular follow-up emails). The product only cost about $50, but still. Online companies should be held accountable for prompt and honest service.
