Simple way to screw my credit and get ripoff

The purpose of this letter is in reply to your letter of June 1 and to dispute the validity of the debt under my account which is wrong.

First of all, let me explain to you my version and then you decide what to do.

My name is... And my wife is... We used to go to Gold's Gym, almost every day from Mondays to Fridays. Right after we sign the membership with Gold's Gym, we were offered a free class of personal training with the company Beyond Fitness. They were very nice people, they gave us a free class of training and then in accordance to what they offered us (you can see it in the contract), we signed a contract for a full year at US$ 240 per month, and we paid first and last payments before we signed.

The first week we went training after we signed the contract, we were given only 20 to 25 minutes of the 30 minutes class that we signed for.By then we were not aware of that until we start realizing about it and we complained about the services to the trainer first, his excuse was: SORRY I HAVE TO GO TO COLLEGE.

Me and my wife talked to the manager of the trainers, he told us that he would found another trainer for us.
He gave us another trainer, but things did not change at all, after two classes with the new trainer, we had only 40 minutes out of two classes that supposed to last 1 hour. Classes supposed to last for 30 minutes each twice a week, by then we already went thru 3 different trainers in less than two weeks due to the same problem. Sometimes, during the only month we assisted to these classes, we got stuck for more than half hour waiting for them to gave us a class. It was like WHAT ARE WE HERE FOR?

We talked to the managers of the trainers so many times and it was like: OK, LET ME SEE WHO IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU RIGHT NOW, it was nothing serious. There was always an issue with the time, 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes because they had to go, they kept looking at the time and spending part of the class on the phone, trainers showed up late and re-scheduling classes because they did not have sufficient trainers or going from one trainer to another instead of having the same one from day 1 like we were told.

Finally, we gave up, we had enough after a month, we felt like they ripped us off and we call Beyond Fitness offices to cancel the contract. They told us that they could not cancel it, that it was already to late and we had to pay a fee of US$ 900 in order to void it. We did not agree with that decision they have made and I have to change my bank accounts in order to avoid automatic payments.

I am a person that I trust so much what people tell me sometimes and I believe that is why my credit is bad; I tough they were going to follow the contract, I trusted them, but it seems like they did not care about the clients, they just care about the money.

This is the reason why I want to dispute the validity of this debt, which is wrong. I do not think is fare for me to pay for something that was ridiculous, they never followed the contract as well.

I do not think I am the only person that had issues with Beyond Fitness, I have read on the web about a lot of people complaining about them. Is this the reason why they changed their name from Beyond Fitness to Professional Fitness?

The whole point is that they screw up my credit for 2500 dollars, I got rippedoff.
