Roy Dixon of World Wide Water sold me a water softener for 4000.00 he claimed it was the best of the best. Simply put it is junk. Within 2 weeks it wasn't working correctly. I always was charged for service for a product with "a lifetime warranty."
Despite repeated break-downs and subsequent complaints my request for a replacement was ignored. Consequently I have been stuck with a non functioning unit.
His service was so bad I had to call another dealer and pay them 100.00 for travel to fix the broken unit. I paid them 250.00. Despite a notice to Roy to cancel my service request, he showed up four days later. I was not home and my brother un aware let him in. Some how they found a reason to rack -up an additional 150.00 in parts in labor. Soon after the unit broke again. 6 times in less than 3 years. It never worked 100%
He has blamed everything but the softener for the problems I've have. I have replaced the water heater, the plumbing... This unit has ruined everything in the house exposed to the water runnig through it. I have replaced 2 waterheaters and it has ruined my commercial coffee maker, stainless dishwasher, toilets...
I have contacted the maker Aquion Partners makers of rainsoft equipment. They have done nothing!!!
I researched the web and found dozens of similar complaints against Rain Soft. The W. VA Attny Gen. Has filed a class action lawsuit for deceptive sales. Sites like Homeownernet.com or Bob Vila.com are loaded with customers like me. This guy is a lying, money grubber who sells junk and makes a fortune fixing it.
