I feel obligated to express my dissatisfaction with Rainsoft and local dealer Professional Water Services in NJ. They lied and deceived me when they sold me the over-priced water softener and continue to deceive me with their needed maintenance for the water softener every 2 yrs. They want to come and "repack" the carbon by replacing it with a new tank and reset the timer. That they do just to make money because, the fact is, the resin in the softener tank should last a minimum of 10 yrs and carbon should never be mixed with the cation resin as it tends to destroy it prematurely. That's why they want to come back in 2 years, to keep correcting a problem they created. Well, thank God for the internet, because now I know the truth!
