I made an appointment with Sears Home Services to repair a Kenmore washing machine I keep a repair warranty on (since 2003!). I pay $20 for any service call to my washing machine under this service plan.
The appointment was scheduled for 5/28 from 1-5pm. At 4pm, I called Sears to ask what time they'd be arriving, they said that a truck had broken down and a serviceman would be calling me soon. Around 5:00pm a serviceman called to say that he would be arriving about 6:00pm (an hour after scheduled time), in fact it was 7:56pm when the repairman arrived...
I took a whole half day off of my work for this "afternoon appointment" and was told to pay $20 for this very, very late service call which threw off my schedule for the entire afternoon and night!!!
The washer was fixed by a very polite repairman.
I would like to be compensated for Sears Home Services not keeping their appointment! Having to pay $20 for Sears being ridiculously late, me taking off a half day to sit and wait on a no show during working hours, and a repairman finally showing up at almost 8pm (my bedtime) to START an appointment leaves me tired, grumpy and very unhappy with Sears Home Services appointment scheduling!
