We contacted Sears Home Repair to fix our washing machine. We selected the $319.99 option, purchasing an extended warrant along with the repair, which we were required to pay 24 hours prior to the appointment. After waiting the entire alotted time window, the technician calls to tell us he is in a town and hour away, and will be there in an hour and a half (i.E., and hour and a half past the time he should have showed up.). He arrives, and cannot fix the machine. He orders parts, and makes a new appointment to fix the machine for 10 days later on March 4. March 4 comes and I receive a phone call from Sears saying the have no technician to fix my washer today. They are rescheduling me for the next available appointment, March 15. Mind you, the warranty has begun on our unfixed machine, and Sears has had our money since Feb. 16! At that point, I no longer wanted to do business with Sears. We didn't even know if a repairman would even show up for the next appointment if we did schedule one.
I called Sears and asked for a refund. I was told I had the wrong department and was transferred to another. I told my story, asked for a refund, and was told I had the wrong department. This went on two more times, until I finally reached a nice young man named Travis who worked in the "tech" department but "did customer service." He was the first person who said he could take care of the problem and issue me a refund, which would show up in 72 hours. He supposedly did. A WEEK AGO! There is no activity whatsoever on our Sears account, and no refund has been issued. I just want my money back!
