We took my 17-yr-old son's car in for repair work. It was done the following day, so we picked it up when I got off work. The following day I found an ad offering a 15% discount to employees of the company I work for. I called to ask about it and the manager told me he didn't know I worked there. I reminded him that he had called me at work 3 times.
He said he would not give me money back ($165) but would offer an in-store credit. I don't think that is fair. I hadn't needed transmission work in over 15 years before this. My son's car should be ok - if they repaired it properly - and my car is still under manufacturer warranty. They advertised "15% discount" not "in-store credit for future work".
I am spreading the word! My son could have used that money! He doesn't need an in-store credit!
