It's been 4 months and Ford hasn't paid my truck off. Ripoff

On April 1st 2007 I traded my 2005 Ford F-250 for a 2006 Dodge Dakota. After a couple of weeks I called my bank and my truck wasn't paid off yet. I called Ford and talked to Bruce he sadi that it can take up to a month before the truck is paid off.

Ford called me and needed me to go in with my Dodge truck so they can verify the vin number because they had put the wrong vin number on the paper work. While I was there I found out that my truck had been sold 3 days after I traded it in by a sales person. After a month from when I traded my truck in in I called my bank again and it still was paid off.

So I called and after several tries I talked to Bruce. He said he would look into it and call me back. He never called me back. I called several times and finally talked to him again and he said that he would send another check out. I waited for a week and and called my bank and my truck still wasn't paid off. I called Bruce again and after several calls I talked to him. He told me that it can takea little over a week to be paid off.

Luckily I paid $100 more on my truck from when I had bought it and didn't owe anything until July 18th but that's not the point. I waited another week and my truck still wasn't paid off and asked my bank what information needed to be put on the check. And they told me.

I called Bruce and it took me several times to get a hold of him and asked him what information they put on the check and he said he would check and that if the check didn't clear in a couple of days they would send another one and he call me back. I gave him the information to make sure that they put it on the next check which was my full name, account number, and social security number. He never called me back so I called several times again and he said they would sand another check.

I waited for another week and a half and the truck still wasn;t paid off, so I went in to Ford and talked to Bruce personally. He called the bank while I was there and verified that it wasn't paid off and verified the pay off amount and aid they will sned another check out. About A week to 2 weeks later I called my bank and my truck is still not pais off.

Iwent back in to Ford and while I was wiating to talk to Bruce I talked to a customer. He said that they haven't paid his vehicle off for 4 months and that he had to go in there every month and make them pay his monthly payments. When I talked to Bruce he said he would overnight a check to my bank and call me and give me a confirmation number.

He never called me back, so called him and he said that they accindentally sent it by regular mail. I talked to my brother-in-law which the same thing happened to him and my other sister-in-law and he said to talk to the General Manager Carl. That's who took care of his problems. So I called my bank again and my truck wasn't paid off.

I went to Ford and talked to Carl he said he would overnight a check and take care of it for me and call me back with a tracking number. He didn't call me back and the following week I finally got a hold of him and he said they sent it regular mail instead of overnight. So I waited another week and it still wasn't paid off. So I called Carl and he said he said that the check had cleared and that he would check into to it.

I had to call him back and he said it went to the wrong account number. So he said he would overnight a check and give me the confirmation number. I had to call him back and when I talked to him he gave me the confirmation number. On Julyy 18th when I called my bank it said my account was paid off. A couple days later I got a statement from my bank telling me my account was paid off.

A couple days later I got another statement from my bank and it said I still owe money and and I had a late charge. I called my bank and they said the checl had bounced. I went in to Ford and talked to Carl he said he would find out what going on and take care of it. I had to call them back and he said they cancelled the wrong check and that they would call the bank to see if they could reprocess the check. Bruce called me back and said the bank would reprocess the check and it would take a couple of days.

I called my bank to make sure and they said no they couldn't do that because most likely Ford's bank has the checl back. They said wether the check clears or bounces they send the check back to their bank. I called Bruce back and told him and he said he would talk to Carl and they would take care of it. On August 8th I talked to the Solano County DA and gave them all my info from what happened with Ford.

They told me they filed an injuction and are still waiting on Ford's reply and also that there's at least 150 complaints like mine. The phone number to the Solano County DA's office is 1-800-690-9555 if any one wants it. I called ford back and Carl said that they would send a check out overnight and give me the confirmation number.

On August 10th I called the Ford Relationship customer line their number is 1-800-392-3673 if any one wants it it and I would reccomend that everyone calls this number that has had problems with Ford and file a complaint. The person I talked to said if they get quite a few complaints about this dealership that they would investigate it. The person also called Vacaville Ford and asked them why it was taking so long and Bruce told her that they were snding the check out today.

I went to Ford after I talk to the Ford relationship line and talked to Carl. He was extremely nice to me and said that they sent the check out overnight and everything should be taken care of. He gave me the confirmation number. So hopefully my truck will be be paid off next week before August 18th which is my next payment is due.

I had to also defer a payment for July 18th which was a $75 fee. Carl said they would pay the full payoff and all the fees. I also put a complaint on the BBB website as well and haven't herad anything back. Hopefully this Ford Dealership will be taken care of and not be doing this to anymore people.
