I bought my car at DRIVETIME in it was under distress. I was new to the city and my car that i drove here with died, my credit is not the greatest, but thats not why i went, drivetime was on a bus route, I looked them up in the yellow pages. I really needed a car. I was starting a job far from where i lived. Long story short. I did not even pick out my car. They sensed my desperation. Brought me a "car" an oldsmobile 99 with 100 thousand miles on it. Told me it runs great. They are highway miles, i knew nothing. My interest rate was 29% and the car amount was $11,00 my payments were $372.00 per month. I feel stupid now, but back then I had no choice, I had a roommate, so it was easier at time. Well life happens, and its not drivetimes fault, my roommate left, my mom got sick with no insurance, i lost my job and got dx with a chronic delebating illness. All with in a span of a year and my struggles lasted for at 3years. Within that time frame i was late, yes Iwas I applied for extensions, I got them. Then I started gettin calls. My family stated getting calls. And they progerssively have gotten nastier and more threating and hurtful. I tried to explain the sitiuation to the agents some were understanding and tried to help. Others told me i need to get off my ass and get the money... I have had to talk to numerous... Numerous mangagers regarding the way I was treated. Through all I have managed to get to the end of my loan, my loan matured on nov... With about 3100 left. I was told that they were going to charge off my car, destroy my already fragile credit. And take the car, that I have struggled to pay. I asked them how long I have, they stated (which is in their notes) we don't know, I talked to managers and cust over the course of days. The answer that i got was. Just pay your note... Try to pay more and you will be fine. Well today I called because of an email. I spoke with an Oscar, who basically told me... They are going to take my car and charge it off it i dont pay the 2000 that is left. I dont have it. I told oscar that i understand that I just got out the hospital and that I am trying to get all my bills resolved.
May I please have until the end of March to pay it off installments 3... To equal 2000. He basically told me no. Told me that It aint happening. He was sooo nasty... I asked to speak to his supervisor... He stated he is the supervisor and that I cant speak to anyone, He told me that I needed to stop trying to talk to everyone and find some way to get the money to them or lose my car. Im under so much stress and I have no idea what to do. I wont have it and Have no one to turn to and I cant speak to anyone else in corporate but Oscar, who treats me like crap... I understand that I was late... But I am not a deadbeat roach... If I was I would have never made it this far. What if anything can I do?
