Dishonest sales techniques

We were referred to Carriage Nissan by friends who were planning on going there also because Carriage was "supposed to be cheaper".

The sales person came out and led us to a '05 Titan because he could "give us a better deal on the '05" than the '06 model. After my wife found the one she liked we agreed to go inside and talk.

First, we were going to trade in our van but that didn't work out because they couldn't give us enough. So he said that we'll just work out a deal with the truck. We were going to put down $5000 but he said the we could 0 financing because of my credit score and to keep the $5000 to help get rid of the van.

After a period time waiting on the financial arrangements, I went outside to get our car which we left in the far lot. When I came back inside, he said he had some info. He asked if $ was good for monthly payment. After a few minutes, my wife and I said yea. So he started shoveling out papers.

Now, we were at fault for not pressing the issue of cost, but he also never offered how much it was for. He said he was going to work up a deal for us and we made the mistake of believing him.
When I saw the price on the bottomline I questioned it and he just shrugged if off. I shouldv'e walked away but my wife wanted the truck.

Now, to get to the point of my complaint. When we got home, my wife found the SAME truck on their website for $700 LESS than what "deal" he gave us. And she realized that she could have gotten a '06 for only a $1000 more. Some deal.

It was a long day and I was tired and got taken advantage of by a dishonest salesperson and my wife is at the dealship now getting the run around from them. Some how the window sticker showing how much it was labeled for cannot be located.interesting.

Beware of this dealership! They certainly do not care about you as much as they put and will take advantage of you if even blink.

As for the friends who were going up there. They said NO WAY will they go to Carriage Nissan now. And with what they were going to buy that's a $75,000 lost in sales to Carriage.
