I don't know how many people have encountered these commercials that come on and say Good credit, Bad Credit or No credit at all everyone drives today! No money down. I personally believe that all of these commercials that say get pre-approved are actually not true at all in fact I believe that they make it seem like its so easy to get a car and pay a low car note. But there are always regulations, and stipulations to this.
I was sitting at home late one night and saw the commerical for Bob Watson chevrolet and the commercial was so appealing that had the so called testimony from people who make the company seem so good. But its totally different when you go down there. I don't care who you are; if you apply over the internet expect from any car dealership to call you. Well the first time I applied it was sent to the Bob watson on 147th and pulaski.
The guy called me and said you've been pre-approved for a car loan and we want you to come in and pick out a car So I took the long ride out in their with high expectations of coming back to the city with a new car and I was highly disappointed. They said well we have 7 banks that is willing to give me alone. I said ok fine but then when they typed in all the information it turned our I need a co-signer and I already knew the people who I knew would not co-sign which is understandable, and the one person who I could think of her credit was jus as bad as mine.
But they said it doesn't matter any one would do. "Yeah Right" come to find out If they would be able to do anything for me I would have to come up with $500 cash down payment. Well if I had the money I probably would have went to a neighborhood dealership and not 30 minutes from chicago.
The second time I went to Bob watson it was on 111th and cicero. Basically the same thing, I would need a co-signer or money down which I didnt have, they called me back 2days later saying they could get me driving same situation same thing. Basically they just had me in a database and was just going through it.
So that tells me you are taken with care your just thrown around. They wasted my time, and got my hopes high only to be let down. SO for anyone reading this never listen to those car dealerships that say no money down and drive today. Because that only applies to those with over $1,000 down payment, or good credit, or a good co-signer So if your looking for honesty to deal with the online hype
