Do not purchase a new or used vehicle from Carriage Nissan in Gainesville, Georgia!!! They are dishonest cheaters and do not care about the safety of the driver.
Unfortunately we purchased a used vehicle from this dealership on a Saturday night around 8pm. We knew that a few things were wrong with the vehicle (air conditioner, motor mount, other small things). As we left the parking lot I told my husband if we decided that we did not like it, we had three days to return it. You see, I was of the understanding that the buyer has a three-day right to resend a contract in the state of Georgia. Boy were we wrong!!!
A mechanic thoroughly checked over the vehicle the very next day. And he discovered that if we took the vehicle to a dealership for repairs, it would have cost us over $3,000.00 for all the repairs that were needed. We only paid $2,000.00 total for the car!!! Definitely things that we were not made aware of at the time of purchase even after asking a couple of questions about the vehicle.
We returned the vehicle on Monday night after my husband got off work since they are closed on Sundays. The manager at that time was very cold and did not care at all that we were not satisfied customers. All he said was "I can't help you, " "there is no three day right to resend, " and "have your attorney call us." Before we left the parking lot, a certain trustworthy witness came and said that there had been NUMEROUS complaints about this dealership. I only wished that we had talked with this person BEFORE we purchased the vehicle.
We returned the vehicle a second time and they actually brought it back to our house and left it in our driveway with the key in it when no one was at home. Then they sued us for a $2,000.00 vehicle that they knew was not safe to drive. They also tried to sue for $5.00 a day storage fee, which is illegal. Since it was an as is situation, the judge ordered that we had to pay for the vehicle. We as the people need to do something about this AS IS stuff!!!
Long story short, they are dishonest, not trustworthy, do not care about the safety of their customers, and do not care at all about their customers. We even discovered after the fact that the vehicle had a salvage title at one time. Of course we would not have purchased it if we had known that. Now we know to check out the VIN number before ever making another used vehicle purchase. We will never go to Carriage Nissan again. Very unsatisfied customers. Get this - they even mailed us several letters that they hoped we were happy and satisfied customers - say what??? Morals of this story 1) don't go to Nissan Carriage of Gainesville Georgia 2) always check the VIN number to see the history of the car BEFORE PURCHASING.
