GMAC Company ripoff foreclosed after dismissed returned mortgage payments threat foreclosure

I requested to be placed on a hardship plan when I was off work for an illnes due to my diabetes. While off work it affected my eyes and I am now legally blind and am unable to return to work. I lost my sick benefits and had no income except my wife's. We had to begin paying COBRA benefit premiums to maintain health insurance and was still waiting for our hardship to be processed. I sent in financial papers twice with no response.

Received numerous phone calls regarding the late payments and was informed that the hardship was still being processed. They refused any payments at that time from me and eventually we received foreclosure papers in the mail. Since receiving those, we entered into an 18 month repayment plan with a down payment of $3500. And 17 payments of $637.98 (which is our mortgage amount of $437.98 additional $150.) I now have left 4 payments of that. Last thursday I received a call from them that I was due to make a balloon payment of over $4000. She stated that she applied my September's payment to that and I now owe $3000 something. Funny, 5 days later I received a letter and my certified check stating that my October payment couldn't be applied that I was in default and was previously sent a letter which I didn't receive.

They now say they will proceed with the foreclosure. It was dismissed earlier this year in January by my local judge here. I am waiting to see what happens now. I am seeking legal representation for help and want to get into a class action suit against them for all they have put us through. If anyone can point me in a good direction please let me know.
