I went to Citibank a few days ago in Flushing, New York. I swiped my card and entered my pin for the teller. I made a deposit, which I have done many times. My problem was with the teller "Kitty Chen". She was so rude. I am 26 years old. I look very young for my age. The teller was very disrespectful, and outright rude. She questioned if the card account was mine. I answered "yes". I asked her if she wanted to see my New York State identification card, to verify my identity. She said no. Shaking her head in disapproval. She repeatedly asked if the account was mine, and if I was old enough to even have a bank account. I proceeded to tell her I am 26 years old etc. She then asked me why my last name is not asian. I told her that I was adopted (even though that information is none of her business). She looked at my file for a while, looking back and forth at me shaking her head... This was really embarrassing, and inappropriate. I was pretty upset at her attitude towards me. I don't think I should have to explain my personal life, let alone why my name is different than she what she expects it to be. I think she should take a class about customer service ASAP. I don't know what to do about her, but this is really bothering me.
