Citibank
Simple Withdrawal

I was in a hurry to go out to the Taste of Chicago festival and my boyfriend and I have been trying for days to work out a meeting-up schedule in Chicago. Finally after coming up with a plan, I had less than a half hour to get to the bank and get to the station. Luckily, the bank was right around the corner from the train station.

I just wanted to stop in the Citibank just to withdraw a few bucks from my account. The moment I walk in, there were 3 tellers sitting around, laughing and then diverting their attention to me and all gave me dirty looks. I walked up to one of the tellers and politely asked for a simple withdrawal. Unfortunately, I didn't have my account information with me, all I had was my Citibank debit card and my drivers license.

The teller looks at me and asked me in a confusing tone if I wanted to withdrawal from my account using my card. I reassured her and again she asks if I wanted to withdrawal using my debit card. I checked the card to make sure is was the Citibank card and sure enough it is. I told her again slowly that I wanted to withdraw from account using that card and I showed her my drivers license to prove it is me on the debit card.

She looks at the card and gets up to tell me that the name on the card and the name on the drivers license technically don't much up. I asked her what she was talking about because the same name was on both cards. Apparently, having just a middle initial on my debit card and my middle name spelled out on my drivers license doesn't account for the same name. Also, she said that because I'm making a small withdrawal, it can't be done. I explained to the dumb teller that I've been with this bank for a very long time and I've done this before. The other tellers were being rude and condescending to me. I was the only customer in the bank at the moment so they were listening in. She said some bank policy crap that didn't make sense because I've gone to many other locations and have had no problem doing this.

I wanted to speak to the manager but unfortunately I had a train to catch. When I got to the train station, turns out the train had already come and gone. I was too frustrated and annoyed to deal with idiots after that.
