Went into my local Citibank branch that i have banked for over 3 years. Went to deposit a Cashiers check - which is as good as cash. Requested that the funds be made available immediately as I have to make a transfer to another Citibank account for some urgent reasons. First the teller completely ignored what i said, went ahead and made the deposit and hands over the slip to me! - not all funds are available. I asked her if she heard my request and she said, ' the system determines whats made availabel!'. I told her i have banked here for a long time and have done the same transaction several times - and in urgent situations the bank supervisor can override. The bank manager who was standing nearby juts in and says, 'no the system does not allow. I cannot change anything. No one can do this'. (when i have done this in the SAME branch, SAME transaction - please dont lie). I had to take my money back! Couldnt deposit it. After a few exchange of points I tell him I will close my account if this is the knd of service I get - his response?!'ok'. - UNBELIEVABLE! I am very disappointed
