Last week, I took my doctor's prescription to CVS to have filled. I was told it would cost a couple of hundred dollars to fill the entire quanity. I asked for a lesser amount and was qouted "x" amount of dollars. I opted for sixty tabs (the script was for 180) due to the high price I was being given the tech.
When I left the store and checked my bank statement for confirmation, the total for sixty tabs was only $30.00. This was 75 percent less than what I was told at the store. I called the store, the script. Was for a controlled substance, and was told too bad, it was your fault and the pharmacist (Doug) siad I was basically stupid and a dim witt, and he would not fill the entire amount on his shift.
I called corporate and things got real bad real fast. I must have spent two hours talking to these "company" people, trying to explain that due to a pricing error by CVS, I only was able to fill one third of my prescription and would they consider filling the remainder of script. They kept trying to blame me for the their error, and every person I spoke with covered their a* in ways I haven't seen since I was in the army. I finally spoke with LaAnna (sp?) the regional pharmacy manager, and she offered me $300.00 in compensation for CVS's pricing error and for the pain and discomfort for not receiving my full script.
Well, she called back one hour later and withdrew her offer, and instead was going to pay $30.00 for pricing error plus a gift card.
For choosing CVS, I could have gone to any pharmacy, I lost most of script., was called a nit witt by their pharmacist, a liar by corporate, and had my settlement withdrawn.
Go somewhere else!
