RiteAid
Rite aid offensive

I have a prescription that I have filled at rite-aid that used to be filled at CVS. CVS had no issue with filling the script early. I fill it before the 30 days to avoid filling it at the last minute. This is my normal practice. My latest refill apparently caused the pharmacist at Rite-aid heartburn because he refused to fill it prior to the 30 days. It is all fine and dandy but I am going out of town and because I had a traumatic head injury, the medecine is necessary to quell my anxiety. I tried to have the script on the 19th evening. Because the 30 day limit was up the 21st, they refused to fill it even though my insurance company authorized the refill. The pharmacist essentially called me a drug addict (I am not) and told me to fill it on the 21st where I was going. I was going to NYC. The nearest rite-aid to where I was going meant I was going to have to take the subway or bus all around Queens. I find that customer service is lacking. They told me tough and as a result had to postpone my trip due to their lack of customer service. This was my 2nd refill there, how can the pharmacist make a good decision? I was inconveinced and suffered further anxiety by their shortcoming. Plus, had to deal with the pharmacist saying I was an addict simply because I refill the script early for conveinence sake. If I had know my earlier early refill would cause so much drama later, I would never made this common practice. I will not have this script filled at Rite Aid anymore. I have to have this filled every month. I am going back to CVS where they aim to help those that need it
