I had surgery on 7/27 and my wife took my scripts to walgreens in Independence Ky. To be filled. This is a work related injury and that Walgreens has filled all my scripts since the injury date on November 3rd 2010 from my Doctor. However this time they charged her saying they didnt have approval yet again same doctor same claim. I called the insurance company and it took less than two minutes to get approved so now Walgreens got paid twice and I'm out the money. The pain killers the Doctor gave me were not strong enough so he wrote me a new script which I had to drive an hour to pick up so I called the insurance company to call ahead to Walgreens to approve the script which my case nurse said she did. However when I got to Walgreens the Pharmacist stated she would not fill the new script because it was almost like the old script only stronger. I would think however that a Medical Doctor/Surgeon who's been in Practice for 3 to 4 times as many years as the pharmacist has would know if that was going to be a problem. And the case nurse that's been with the Insurance company/Workmans Comp. Would have a clue as well. So not only has your Pharmacist denied me my medicine but the pharmacy staff continues to show how lazy they are by making me have to do the job for them when it comes to approving the scripts they did fill from the same doctor over and over. I have used Walgreens for many years as I'm 47 years old but after dealing with the staff in Independence Ky. I'll never set foot in a Walgreens again except to get my refund for paying for a script that was paid for by the workmans comp.insurance company. Thanks for the "Pain" I now have to endure until I get this resolved at a more responsible Pharmacy. Your Pharmacist has a very bad attitude and her staff isn't much better. I've truly never been more disappointed with a store more than I am with the Independence Ky. Store and rest assured I will be contacting the State Licensing Board and my attorney. You can also be assured that i will post this comment on every complaint board i find on the internet so nobody else in this area will have to put up with the total lack of respect that the staff in Independence has shown me. My happy ending was going to Kroger Pharmacy where I was treated with respect and they had no problem filling my script and billing the Workers Compensation I nsurance Company... Ty Kroge
