The law offices of Roni Lyn Duetch, what a joke. Is there any recourse with a company like this.
I had a tax problem, lien, levy's, I had a mess. They said they would take care of everything. I spent 1 hour on the phone with these people going into detail of what they could do for me.
I had to send them $2,500 for a retainer so they could start working on my file. I had to borrow that money because I already had a tax issue that I couldn't pay.
After 8 months of going back and forth with them I called to check on how things were going. The guy I spoke to said he was looking at my file right then and it had been several months since I had spoken to them. He said they were trying to call me and they could not reach me, that is an out and out lie. After arguing with him for about 5 minutes I asked "well were talking now so what happens next with my case". Keep in mind to this date they did nothing more than send in a form to the IRS for power of attorney for me, nothing else.
I spoke to the IRS and they said that law firm has done nothing for me. The IRS said they filed the power of attorney and that was it, no calls or letters on record with the IRS.
Back to the phone call I was on with them. I asked what happens next with my case? He said well we didn't hear from you for a while so you will have to send us $3,500 to start working on the case. I told him I had to borrow the 1st $2500 why do I have to pay an additional $3,500? He said that was their ploicy and I needed to send it before he started working the case again. AGAIN??? They never did anything from the beginning.
This company is taking advantage of people that are already in a bad situation. Please stay away from this place. You will send money and nothing will be done for you. I wish I would have known usacomplaints.com existed before I contacted Duetch and company.
