I called my local telephone co. (Centurytel) this morning 7-20 to inquire about my billing account. It was discovered that I was being charged on my bill, for a service that the Centurytel represtitive had no idea what it was. But he had the toll free tele number to the co, Integretel, for "intelecom me service"
Centurytel immediatley disputed this charge for me, and corrected the billing of that amount. I then called the Integretel toll free number to dispute and ask what this service was for. The lady on the other end said this was for my voice message service. I of course said what??? I did not order this, and what are you talking about.
I was told due to the fact that a survey for a free shopping spree had been won, thru and online survey of some sort it is an automatic billing and acceptance of the service.
No one had filled out a survey for a free shopping spree of 500.00 dollers, and no such agreement had been made known to us, or accepted. Just a new charge on my tele bill was all.
She said she removed the billing charge and my name and account from her end. I informed her that my local tele co. Had also put in a dispute on my behalf against Integretel and this billing.
I advise folks to look at their own telephone billing closely and report, or ask of your own telephone company questions if you think you have been ripped off in any way by this service, or any other type of services appearing on your bill you are not familier with. Ask them to help and dispute it also. I suggest you then call the toll free number to ask questions and have them remove you also of any transactions from their end. Also do not fill out the survey forms online for free goodies with out checking it out thouroghly. Not all are scammers, but a whole lot of them are and share names and personal information.
I forgot to ask for a confirmation number of the bill being removed from Integretel with my unaccepted account. I am not sure if they have one.
Beware Integretel seems to have no concept of what honesty, or integrity is when it comes to conducting their bussiness. Report Integretl please to your local telephone co, and fill out a rip off form if you too have been a victim of their dis-honest and decieving business practice's.
