We recieved an item for our wedding. When we wanted to exchange it, we were told by customer service to ship it back to them and they would give us credit. They made us pay for the shipping. When they recieved it, they said they couldn't in fact give us credit (even though they told us they would be able to - even when I told them I wasn't sure if it was bought direct as it was a gift) and in order for us to get our OWN ITEM BACK they were going to charge us for shipping again. After speaking with incredibly rude managers, etc. They confirmed that they were willing to lose customers, their reputation, and standing over $10 in shipping. The manager even had the audacity to suggest I should have gone to the guest (who was giving us a $300 wedding present) and told them we didn't like it and wanted to return it for something else and ask where they bought it from. I have NEVER in my life dealt with less reasonable people, with worse customer service and who were more rude. They wasted tons of our time (and as busy people in the middle of a wedding this was even more aggravating) and have ensured that we will go OUT of our way to make sure people know what a terrible business they run. The irony is that their hold message states that "Alarm is about peace and love" - dealing with Michael Aram was the worst customer service experience we have ever encountered. DON'T buy anything from these people - esp. For a bride and groom as you will RUIN their wedding and gift experience.
