Impossible to return a wedding gift!

Hello.

I am absolutely livid after my past month of dealing with the incompetence of Target.com employees, including supervisors.

We were given a wedding gift that wanted to return since we received multiples, and what should have been an easy 10 day process has turned into 4 weeks of aggravation.in short, it took 5 20-minute phone calls to get Target.com to email me the shipping return label - But before they did, they managed to send the label to the gift giver, instead of us, letting them know that we were returning their thoughtful gift. My wife and I were mortified.

After speaking to a supervisor (Michael [THREAD ID: 3-E9PCQY]), he apologized profusely and sent us a $15 gift card for our troubles (hardly equal to the 2 hours of my time I've spent dealing with this). I finally received the shipping label, and returned the item. Then, I followed up to make sure they received it, since I never received any notification, and they said thy had and the refund was in the mail. That was over a week and a half ago.

A couple days ago I sent in an email inquiring about the progress to guest. [email protected] but received no reply.

So today I called up and spoke to a manager (Marc 3-862142-296) Who told me that they called the gift giver and left a message, and that the process was on hold until they got back to them. This is the second time they contacted the gift giver for our return. I was furious, and told him that I want the refund sent via email immediately, and he said all he could do was tell whomever is dealing with it and someone would contact me. He also said that they couldn't offer me any other consolation since they already gave me a $15 gift card.

I told him that wasn't good enough, and I need to have the contact info of whomever is handling it so I can speak to them. He said he couldn't give me that information. When I asked to speak to his manager, he said that he doesn't have one. When I was completely outraged on the phone, he offered no solution what-so-ever.

I'm once again at the point where I have no recourse but to wait and hope that someone is actually going to get back to me, although my bet is that they will bother the gift giver again, and I'll have to waste another hour of my life on the phone explaining all this all over again.

This experience has completely turned me off from target altogether, and you can bet that i will spread the word to all my friends and family. I know many couples getting married this year and will absolutely advise anyone i like from registering at target.

If you care to attempt to show me that Target cares about it's reputation and customers please reply to me and help me resolve this mess.
