We are trying to purchase a home with Fannie Mae and we were suppose to close on June 22nd and found out that they never signed the deed documents from the previous owner. Now hows that for a company that should be on top of things like that? Anyways so now almost a week later and nothing is happening yet! No one knows what is going on with these deed documents and now our interest rate lock is expiring so it will be $350 dollars to extend it and they better pay that since its their fault for not having that taken care of months ago when they bought at as a short sale! If any of you are planning on buying a house from Fannie Mae, DON'T!!! Unless you want to be taken advantage of and not close on your house for months and months! If Fannie Mae can't even remember to sign a deed document which is extremely important then i have no faith in them to remember any other important document they have to include on when closing on a house! I will definitely be making sure everything is signed and finalized when we close so we don't end up moving in and then weeks later moving out because they forgot some important document!!! I will Never Ever Deal with Fannie Mae AGAIN!!! Poor Company and Poor Customer service!!! It amazes me they are still in business with all the reviews i have read and the problems people go through!!! I am totally amazed they haven't been reported to the Better Business Bureau all the issues people have with them!!! Stay away from this company please!!! Based on experience!!! Everybody we have talked too says they have had a lot of problems as well!
