Unless you are a seasoned real estate buyer, run fast and hard from Fannie Mae foreclosures. My daughter and son-in-law put it an offer above the asking price. It took Fannie Mae several weeks just to accept the offer. They failed to make disclosures regarding foundation problems even though the agent had the report from the structural engineer. The Fannie Mae realtor was rude and condescending when we tried talking with him. They refused to replace the roof even though the damage occurred while the house was under contract. Fannie Mae doesn't want to SELL houses, they want to make your life miserable and treat you like dirt. We should have walked away from their rude, uncaring staff. Don't believe their friendly website at Homepath. It is all a bunch of crap. Put on your boxing gloves when buying their homes!
