I have recently had the first hand experience of dealing with Kennards Burleigh Junction.
This self storage company neglected to follow the ACCC guidelines.
The staff are far from professional, in fact they are rude and condescending, leaving messages on mobile telephones, treating to put goods out onto the side walk if you do not get down to their facility within 24 hours.
Complete total disregard for any good will or care for hardship and complete and utter ignorance when dealing with people effected by the floods in Roma, Mitchell St George, etc Queensland in Jan Feb.
This trigger happy company did not count on a father not willing to let his families possessions go at the greys auctions as he successfully placed the closing bid on Tuesdays auction.
Despite the photos of our entire contents being thowen across the Internet, the company further added salt to injury when they did not adhere to the storage guidelines after our goods were saturated in their shed, nor did they comply with any of the standards laws that are outlined for provision of services and the quality of that service.
Further more to have no notice in witting what so ever of their intention to auction a families belongs kids toys clothes and clearly looking at the contents of the shed, the so called professional would know this family is not exactly living the life of Mr Bond
Kennards failure to communicate, and their lack of customer service has led us as a united front to take our ordeal with self storage to the public and into the consumers court as this group of self confessed carasmic team members are nothing more than thieves stealing from the poor, and making a fast dollar on the side.
Kennards did not and do not provide accurate inventory when they put the contents of someone's entire life out to auction, nor do they take responsibility's for simply selling a persons world from under them.
With fate being on our familys side we we lucky enough to get that bid in, only to arrive at the storage facility, finding that things were missing, and personal information was left in boxes, there was no inventory that we could mark off collected nor did we have to sign any paperwork to say we had collected what we had paid for at the greys auction.
There was no staff memeber making sure that the goods were matching to that of the online inventory (if you could call this list summary an inventory) further more, there was petrol and oil throughout the 6 X 5 shed and like the water our belongs were there to soak up the slick.
However when we confronted the staff member about this, on both the water and oil issues, we were told, that this wasnt part of the contract that was signed with them.
Kennards neglect to notify their customers of an agreement not being binding when things are not finalised on it correctly such as a contacts address and phone number as an alternative contact for reaching customers nor do they tell you about the nasty dark side that comes in the form of a greys cloud.
Discusted, degraded, and disapointed, Kennards self storage!
