Spectrum has taken my money multiple times through misleading marketing practices, as outlined below:
1. Mobile Balance Payoff Offer (July 2025):
While shopping in a local supermarket, a Spectrum representative approached me and offered to pay off my remaining balance with T-Mobile if I transferred two mobile lines to Spectrum Mobile. At the time, I owed about $860 to T-Mobile and was told that paying off the balance and transferring two lines would qualify me for reimbursement. I did so, but Spectrum later refused to reimburse the amount, claiming I needed to make at least three payments to T-Mobile, a condition that was never disclosed by the salesperson.
2. Internet Service Promotion:
A Spectrum customer service representative offered to reduce my monthly internet bill from $90 to $40 for one year. However, after only one month, the promotion was canceled. When I inquired, they said I had to purchase two new phones from Spectrum, not just one, another undisclosed and misleading requirement.
These repeated incidents demonstrate a pattern of false advertising and deceptive sales practices. I respectfully request that Spectrum review these matters, honor the promised promotions, and take steps to prevent similar misleading marketing in the future.
