I just want to warn anyone who is thinking about or already hired Michael Shiffman or Johnathan I. Rotstein. Their attorney's office is a scam. Once they get you in the door and get you to sign the papers, they will never know who you are or act friendly to you again!!! Jonathan recently had action taken against him by the Florida Bar Association because he tried to cash a settlement check that his client refused to sign after finding out that her proceeds would only be about $12 from her lawsuit. My spouse was in an auto accident over 3 years ago and the party we have been suing was in the wrong.
We were told that my spouse could not work (by the doctor) we insisted that the case be settled quickly but Jonathan said it was not good to settle too soon because the case has to mature and it was the only way to get a good settlement. Well, over time of going to different hearings and depos, one would think that by now someone in the office would be familiar with us. But that is not the case. To top it off, all the letters of protection on our assets have been dropped by our creditors due to the attorneys lack of communication when contacted. Now we have lost all our assets including our home and we are about to lose the case as well.
If you want personal service and an attorney who will treat you with respect, I suggest you get a different attorney. We checked our case file at the court house and it is amazing how many motions that Mr. Rotstein's office made that the other party moved to be dismissed due to the motion being submitted in the wrong format, and also being untimely. Amazingly he never sent us those notifications!!! Please warn anyone who you know who may be thinking of hiring this attorney!!!
