I booked 4 flights (2 for myself and 2 for my mother) on December 5. I was due to take the first flight from Bangkok to Glasgow Scotland on January 7. The flights were all confirmed by my trip friends by email and I also received e-ticket numbers and booking references (as I always have from other company's).
When I arrived at the airport for the first flight, I was told by the KLM agent that the references meant nothing and that they had no record of my bookings.
My trip Friends supplied a telephone number which turned out to be permanently unavailable.
My return flight to Scotland and my mothers return flight to Bangkok with me were all false. Looking at the paperwork supplied by them, there is nothing to suggest any hint of a scam, they use the 'VISA' logo and the IATA logo also.
Of course, I tried to register a complaint with 'paypal' but when when the fraud came to light and my lack of access to a computer for about 2 weeks, meant that the 45 day complaint registration deadline had expired so they would not accept any suggestion of a complaint.
Needless to say, I feel completely heartbroken as I did not have the money to book another set of flights and my mum of 84 years will now never get to meet her grand-daughter.
