I booked a trip on Expedia from San Diego to WI to see my mother. Two days after booking, I got an email stating that one of the four flights that I needed was unavailable and that I needed to re-book. When I looked on the Expedia site, similar flights were $600 more than the one I booked.
I called Expedia to find out why my trip had been cancelled and was told that the airline had cancelled one of the flights. This sounded strange, so I called the airline. Turns out that Expedia LIED to me. The flight was never cancelled. However, since the time that I booked, the price had gone up.
I called Expedia back and talked to three managers about their lies, demanding my trip at the price I booked (same trip now relisted on Expedia for $600 more). After three stressful calls, I was told "too bad, you have no rights". I ended up skipping the trip and my mother was beyond hurt. Thanks Expedia.
AVOID EXPEDIA. They are dishonest and unethical.
