PLEASE see the review/complaint that I submitted in regard to my Sears Layaway Order #093001741965.
It was long and detailed and had I know about the support ticket step I would have copied it.
First to admit that my VERY LAST layaway payment was late but it seems to have been cancelled a day early. I take FULL responsibility for the lateness but NOW I find through some internet research (since you can't find an official description or policy on Searscom) that I CAN EXPECT weeks of runaround to get my funds back. The site clearly states how much the cancellation fee is but no mention of how or when you can get a refund; this should have been a big red flag for me.
This entire process of placing this layaway has been terrible from the inception until now. Rude Customer Service Agents, a spitefully cancelled online order, no payment reminders and now a murky/concealed policy for refunds which leave me with a pit in my stomache.
I would LOVE TO LOVE Sears again and again. I honestly planned to get the refund and then spend the same monies at Sears to get the items I lost. I also take responsibility for paying late but it seems SEARS only cares about getting your monies and then, gives you NO RECOURSE or method of getting a layaway refund!
It feels like I'm working way too hard to give SEARS my business based upon a nostalgic memory of school shopping, pics, etc... From my childhood.
Please help me? Please don't just ask me to wait and see because OBVIOUSLY based on COMPLAINTS found on this site and all over the internet, THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER FIGHTING FOR IT! This is all the $ we will have to spend this Christmas and I need my REFUND without being reduced to tears as other customers have been.
I'd rather pay the layaway off at the store and be done with this experience but short of that, CAN YOU PLEASE HELP EXPEDITE my refund and tell me where it will come from and when.
