Very disappointed. SEARS HAS RUINED MY CHRISTMAS! I put a two piece tool chest on layaway in OCTOBER through the local Sears store. I was able to make two payments on line and then every time I attempted to make an additional payment on line I received an error message saying that I had a payment processing and could not make another payment on line. I contacted Customer Service twice and received a scripted reply that only walked me through getting to the online layaway system. I had already told them that I was in there and was receiving an error message and they were trying to tell me how to get in there. DUH! I gave up and had to make the rest of the payments at my local (30 minutes away) store. I paid the layaway off a few weeks before Christmas like I was instructed. They told me that the tool chest would be delivered on December 14th to the store. I received a voicemail from the store on the 14th with a name and number only but no other message. I was finally able to get a hold of an employee on December 19th. He said he would investigate to see why they called and would call me back. I did not hear back from him so I called tonight (December 20th). He is now telling me that the items will not arrive until December 31st and there is nothing he can do. He was not apologetic nor did he even act like it mattered. I just want to cry because my husband will not get his Christmas present and SEARS doesn't care. LAST time I will ever spend a penny at SEARS (or KMART).
