Their business practices are border line thug-ish and all out robbery. I have experienced hold times ranging from 20-45mins. Today after continuosly cycling thru their answering service for 30mins. The rep. Hung up as soon as she answered the phone. Their customer service representatives have poor customer service & communication skills. After paying my balance current.
A week later (today) I called to check my bank account to find two holds totaling 1900.00 on my checking and savings account. I contacted Grands Furniture to be informed that my current balance on my account is 421.00, and that the holds on my account will be lifted after the remaining amount (421.00) is paid. This is of course after I spoke to my supposed "account manager" (7/15) who informed me everything was fine and my next payment due date was 8/5 after making two payments totaling appx. 413.00. One of course I gave no pre-auth. For but it still needed to be made so I had little concern with.
My question is how do you manage to hold 1900.00 of someones funds especially if they only owe you 421.00. After speaking to a "supervisor" I was told that they are basically trained to receive funds by basically any means necessary; which in this instance was to mis-inform, blantly lie, and steal from/to their customers. I was also told well once the funds are held they would then return the rest of my money via check in the next 90days. Keeping in mind I have a mortgage payment due on the first and an electricity bill along with the other neccessities in life. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and will never deal with again.
