Late May I requested a refund for an overpayment I made on my escrow account. As a disabled Vet. I was to receive credit on my property taxes (escrow) I was informed that until my account was current I couldnt request those funds. I authorized Everhome to transfer a little over a $1000 to catch up those 2 payments. I then had to wait 10 day and call customer service to request what was left, ($480) I was told it would be processed within 10 working business days. July 19 I called to check the status and was told those funds were released and would receive those Wed. July 21. When I didnt receive those in the mail I called and was told I was NOW late on a payment so they couldnt release them to me. Even after I explained in great detail that in fact my account was current when I requested the funds. Even after the 10 day waiting period, I was still within my rights, AND my account was STILL current and up to date. I was told I was given wrong information and I am paying for it. Seeing as how they can charge me a late fee, why cant I charge them the same?
