I have been dealing with BOA since having a mortage, line of credit and credit cards with them. Last May I noted that my balance was incredible, since I do my payments on line I never noted any problem, just paid the bill, and contacted BOA only to find that there had been over $12,000 in fraudulent charges on my account.
After sent to the fraud dept. For 1 month I was then contacted and told that this was not a fraud case since I had done business with the merchants in the past, i was then transferred to disputes. After a few weeks there I was sent back to fraud, and ping-ponged back and forth for 4 months. Then I finally that I had gotten somewhere with a manager who assured me that the situation would be resolved by September '08. Well that date came and went and still no resolution. After re-faxing all the information, hundreds of calls, hours on the phone with the, I still, to date April have no resolution. They now tell me some of the disputes have run out of time. Well, who's fault is that? I reported teh fraud and BOA had me in limbo for a year telling me they were taking care of it and obvoiusly they have done nothing for me except try to collect monies that were charged to my credit card which I DID NOT APPROVE.
I can't believe such a large institution resorts to thievery, dishonesty and I'm sure a violation of rights of the consumer.
If anyone else has experienced the same situation, please respond as I will be trying to start a class action lawsuit against BOA.
