I left a long-term secure job to accept an "executive assistant" position with KLC. After 6 months, I was fired; though they said my work was fine, the only explanation I was given was that I "didn't fit in." (I was 60 years old at the time; not sure if age was a factor...)
During the time I was employed there, at least 12 others were unexpectedly fired, quite a high percentage for an office of less than 50 people. This company's employment practices are questionable at best.
One employee, hired as a temp to do accounting work, was required make copies for extended lengths of time. When she asked for a chair, saying that her feet and legs were starting to bother her, she was abruptly fired.
There seems to be a real lack of caring here - odd, when you think the company's main purpose is to supposedly provide good care for our kids!
